
Matt DiGeronimo
Matt DiGeronimo is a native of Hawthorne, NJ and currently resides in Chicago, IL. Matt is a former Naval Officer where he spent most of his career serving aboard nuclear fast-attack submarines.
After retiring from active duty in 2012, Matt's post-Navy career has been highlighted by leading the operational turnaround of a mergers & acquisitions company, a commercial real estate company, and a coal-fired power plant. Matt also served as the Vice President of Operations for Veolia Energy where he oversaw the operation of 12 power plants. Additionally, Matt spent time as the Managing Director of High-Reliability Group, a consulting company that assists Fortune 500 companies on the journey towards Operational Excellence. Matt is currently the plant general manager of International Paper’s largest and most complex facility.
Matt is passionate about thinking, writing, and speaking on the topics of leadership and operational excellence. Matt is also the author of three Amazon best-selling books: Extreme Operational Excellence, Breadcrumbs, and Dear Hunter.
Matt earned a Nuclear Engineering Degree from RPI, an MBA from the University of Connecticut, and is a current PhD candidate in Organizational Leadership at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
