Sharon is Director, Business Development at MiQ, focusing on producers and buyers of natural gas to raise awareness of the importance of certified natural gas. Since 2001, Sharon has been involved in Sustainability, as co-founder of Southeast Michigan’s Sustainable Business Forum. She spent several years with Veolia Water, leading initiatives to measure and monitor odors in wastewater to reduce the impact on nearby communities. In addition to odor management, Sharon worked on biosolids treatment and recovery projects, and optimization technologies for chemical use in sewer networks and treatment plants. Most recently, she worked in power generation of industrial, institutional, and utility clients to ensure continuous emissions monitoring compliance. She currently volunteers for the Water Environment Federation’s Residuals & Biosolids Committee to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the wastewater sector. She holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and lives with her family in North Carolina, where she also volunteers for the Carolina Wetlands Association.
