Senior Trade Officer – Energy and Life Sciences Consulate General of Canada in Houston

Kasturi Narayanan has recently joined as a Senior Trade Officer in Energy and Life Sciences at the Consulate General of Canada in Houston. In this role, he champions Canadian innovation and forges global partnerships to advance cleantech solutions—including methane mitigation technologies—across North America and international markets. Prior to this, Kasturi was an Industrial Technology Advisor at the National Research Council of Canada, where he led several international initiatives including net-zero value chains, quantum sensing, vehicular electrification and such. He directed over $10 million in annual budgets to implement national innovation priorities and bring cutting-edge technologies to market. With deep expertise across energy systems, medical technologies, and digital innovation, Kasturi collaborates with industry, investors, and government partners to drive trade, mobilize capital, and scale Canadian solutions to global challenges. Based in Houston, he is focused on building cross-border and multilateral collaborations in the energy and life sciences sectors.
