Pre-Conference Workshop Day: Tuesday, June 11

12:30 PM WORKSHOP J: METHANE ACCOUNTING: RECONCILING REAL VS. REPORTED EMISSIONS

It is common to find discrepancies between bottom-up and top-down methane inventories from oil and natural gas production. This makes reconciliation of estimations imperative for those looking to accurately understand and quantify their emissions baseline. This workshop will show you how to:

·       Develop a framework to improve emission inventory calculation methods

·       Evaluate assumptions applied to top-down measurements that can account for gaps between estimates

·       Unpack different results produced from bottom-up inventory calculations

·       Explore how emerging technologies and data-driven tools can enhance the reconciliation process by providing more accurate and real-time measurements, reducing uncertainties in methane accounting

Check out the incredible speaker line-up to see who will be joining Deirdre.
