Main Conference Day 2: Thursday 27th February

9:10 AM Panel: The Price of Compliance: Implementing Cost-Effective Abatement Strategies and Energy Transition Plans

The pressure to comply with regulations and achieve ambitious reduction targets, all while maintaining operational efficiency and profitability is real. But part of the challenge is that there is no universal solution. In this session our panellists, who all lead their organisations' methane reduction initiatives, will share three unique perspectives on how they communicate up and down the organisational ladder to ensure targets are met and their team have the best tools at their disposal. Discussion topics include:

  • Evaluating the financial impact of carbon reduction strategies on long-term business sustainability – how should investment be prioritised?
  • Strategizing and designing an internal business case for compliance and abatement
  • Leveraging technology and innovation to streamline compliance costs and drive energy transition
  • Assessing the benefits of outsourcing compliance services versus scaling internal teams and creating new roles
