Bart Wauterickx is the Managing Director of XP Upgreen, a company dedicated to providing comprehensive strategies and solutions that help Oil and Gas operators reduce their carbon footprint while maintaining operational efficiency and regulatory compliance. Utilizing state-of-the-art measurement equipment and methodologies aligned with OGMP guidelines and EU regulations, XP Upgreen empowers clients to understand their environmental impact and pinpoint areas for improvement. XPUpgreen implements abatement solutions leveraging both proven and innovative technologies, alongside industry best practices, to deliver effectively reducing methane emissions at a manageable cost. Before joining XP Group, Bart served as CEO of The Sniffers until 2022, where he advised and supported Oil & Gas companies worldwide on reducing emissions and enhancing pipeline integrity. Over its 30-year history, The Sniffers has successfully completed more than 9,000 emission reduction projects, with a focus on VOC and methane reduction. The company's efforts have significantly contributed to global methane emission reductions across the entire gas value chain, from production and processing to transport and distribution, both offshore and onshore. Bart has also advised regulatory organizations on the development of effective, pragmatic emission reduction strategies and conducted workshops on emission reduction around the globe. Prior to his tenure at The Sniffers, Bart held key leadership roles, including Vice President Operations at Atlas Copco Compressors and Operations Director EMEA at Brady Corporation. Bart holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Leuven, Belgium, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Louvain La Neuve, Belgium.
