The EU Commission has recently made significant strides in driving methane mitigation, exemplified by the comprehensive Methane Emissions Regulation under the EU Green Deal. This session provides a platform to discuss the critical next steps required for rigorous implementation, such as enforcing national reporting requirements and developing robust monitoring systems. Learn how the Commission plans to transform this regulation into global climate action through strong international alliances and drive a worldwide shift in methane mitigation. 

The pressure to comply with regulations and achieve ambitious reduction targets, all while maintaining operational efficiency and profitability is real. But part of the challenge is that there is no universal solution. Set across two different regulatory jurisdictions, they have adopted a ‘best practice’ approach which has allowed this small team to achieve the level 2 and subsequently level 4 OGMP 2.0 standard within the space of only 2 years.
