Mr. Jamin is a senior engineer and specialist in air and climate change strategy at PETRONAS Energy Canada Ltd. He is a passionate advocate for environmental solutions and currently focused on mitigating fugitive, venting and flaring emissions from upstream natural gas assets. He leverages techno-economic data and operational synergies to create business cases for emission reduction projects. Other responsibilities include measurement, monitoring, reporting, and verification (MMRV) activities. Mr. Jamin holds a bachelor's and master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Calgary and has over 20 years of experience in the energy industry.

Yori worked as a consultant for 15 years investigating the root-cause of methane releases and developing emission inventories. In his new role leading Air & Climate Strategy at PETRONAS Canada, he is improving environmental outcomes by executing methane abatement projects and deploying novel monitoring methods. He will share recent experience:

  • Leveraging aerial methods and field validation to mitigate unintentional gas releases
  • Reconciling OGMP L5 observations with L3/L4 source-level records to improve confidence in emission inventories
  • Mitigating intentional venting to make reconciliation easier and improve corporate methane intensity
