Main Conference Day 2 - October 9, 2025

1:20 PM Panel Discussion: Leveraging AI to Measure, Track and Reduce Scope 3 Emissions

While many companies have implemented strategies to meet scope 1 and 2, addressing scope 3 means navigating into uncharted territory.  This panel will discuss:

  • How to navigate the inconsistent expectations regarding the recording and granularity of supply chain data. Is there an accepted baseline for reporting that can help?
  • Overcoming the challenge of gathering accurate data from the entire value chain, especially considering the lack of standardization, inconsistent measurement methods and data quality across different companies and industries.
  • Understanding how AI can help streamline Scope 3 emissions reporting by automating data collection, improving accuracy, and providing actionable insights from complex datasets.
  • Strategies to incorporate scope 3 emissions into your business operations and accelerate data collection efforts.

2:00 PM Case Study: Excelerate Energy’s Global Scope 3 Strategy

Excelerate Energy set and achieved clear goals for tracking and reducing emissions by promoting environmental stewardship and reducing their operational footprint. As a next step, they’re now looking to incorporate value chain emissions into their measurements. In this session Sarah will share their journey to track emissions data across their global supply chain and the obstacles faced along the way, with a core focus on:

  • Supply Chain Emission Hotspots: Identifying which of their vendors impact emissions the most. Are logistics vendors really the concern?
  • Recording International Data: How to manage the complexity of global regulations while building a supply chain emissions database
  • Collaboration to Abate Emissions: How to engage your vendors to reduce and abate overall scope 3 emissions
